Year Of The Snitch is a delectably doting ode to chaos and anarchy; a record packed to the brim with raw, mutated energy. The album is bellicose — a regularly abstract, dynamic, and powerful hot streak filled with tracks like the weird, zombie-like flesh-victualing hypnosis of “Flies” (“Flies vomit me, Vomit me, Flies), while MC Rides’ riotous refrains on “Black Paint” strike at the listener repeatedly through impenetrable walls of noise like an offput, disgruntled and aggressively firing synapse. Between the pure musical schizophrenia of “Disappointed” and the rapid drum patter of “The Horn Section” — I genuinely think it’s safe to say this album is properly all over the place, and even moreso properly fucked up.
