Icelandic band Of Monsters and Men have released a 10th Anniversary edition of their debut album My Head Is An Animal. This edition includes four tracks not on the original version, including “Sugar Bowl” which was written with the original but never recorded or performed until now. The success of their debut with over a million sold and their familiar first single “Little Talks” landed them a record deal with Republic Records and quite a growing fan base.

My Head Is An Animal is definitely meant to be played for the enthusiastic crowds at festivals. The catchy melodies mixed with the dark truths that all humans face is what caught the attention of listeners worldwide in 2011. Coincidentally, the themes of the album seem to align with human life in 2021, which makes this the perfect time for rerelease. This timeless, beautiful album is well-deserving of the 10-year anniversary rerelease and should be in everyone’s collection of music, to be played when you want an iconic, calming indie folk album to tell you a story and make you feel good.
